New Delhi : The Lions Club Delhi Veg organised the biggest event ever in the University of Delhi aimed at empowering women, and also recognising their achievements and the struggles of those who broke the glass ceiling and came out shining. The event was blessed by the presence of Acharya Dr. Lokesh Muni and Dr. Binny Sareen.
BK Dr. Binny from Mount Abu was honoured with the Prestige Women Award 2023. BK Dr. Binny was also invited as one of the Chief guest to give awards to other Women Awardees from all over the world. She addressed the gathering and gave greetings from Brahma Kumaris Mount Abu.
Chief guests of the event were the Mayor of London Borough of Southwark, Mr. Sunil Chopra, and Additional Commissioner of Delhi Traffic Police Dr. Mahesh Bhardwaj. Special guests at the event were the CDA of the Embassy of Colombia, Ms. Alejandra Maria Rodriguez Sierra; Honorary Consul General of the Union of Comoros, HR Mr KL Ganju; Consular of the Embassy of Palestine, Mr. Bassem Helix; Dr. Rama, Principal; Former BCCI President Mr. CK Khanna; Vice President of DDCA Ms. Shashi Khanna; and Ms. Nishi Singh, among many.
Lions Club Delhi Veg is a non-profit organisation affiliated to the International Association of Lions Clubs, Chicago, Illinois, USA, that has been working in various fields to uplift the underprivileged sections of the society especially women and children.
