Brahma Kumaris Honored with Pride of Chhattisgarh Award for Excellence in Social Services

Bilaspur ( Chhattisgarh ): The Brahma Kumaris of Rajyoga Bhawan in Chhattisgarh were honored with the ‘Pride of Chhattisgarh’ award.  This honor was given to BK Swati at the National Trade Fair. She was presented with a memento by ADN Vajpayee, Vice Chancellor of Atal Behari Vajpayee University; Lalit Pateria, Vice Chancellor of Shaheed Nand Kumar Patel University, Raigarh; R.P. Dube, Vice Chancellor of C.V Raman University; Dr. Pramod Mahajan, Joint Director of Health Department; and Rajendra Shukla, Mandi Head.

The Brahma Kumaris were given this award for excellence in social service, especially during the coronavirus pandemic, water and environmental conservation efforts.

The Brahma Kumaris had also set up two stalls at this fair. These were called, ‘My Bilaspur, Drug Addiction-Free Bilaspur‘ and ‘My Bilaspur, Accident-Free Bilaspur‘. These were visited by High Court Justice Sanjay Aggrawal. He said that meditation makes us patient and more tolerant. The spiritual knowledge given by Brahma Kumaris is very relevant for the society.  Regular practice of meditation increases positivity. We should not just listen to spiritual education but make it a part of our behavior.  Only then can we create an atmosphere of peace and harmony in this world.

Dr. L. C. Madaria, Senior Eye Specialist, said that Brahma Kumaris do not discriminate on the basis of caste and religion.  They are working to conserve the treasure of spiritual knowledge and healthy lifestyle of Bharat.  He wished them success in the making of a beautiful new world.

Dr. K. K. Sav and Anil Tiwari also expressed their good wishes.  Members of the Trade Fair Organizing Committee were also present.  BK Santoshi welcomed the guests with bouquets.
