Hathras ( Uttar Pradesh ): The Brahma Kumaris Hathras were honored with a “Cleanliness is Service” award by the district administration and municipality of the area on the occasion of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatama Gandhi. BK Shanta, Head of the Anandpuri Colony center of the Brahma Kumaris, accepted this award on behalf of the organization.
District Collector Mr. Praveen Kumar Laxkar and Mr. Ashish Sharma, Head of the local municipality, urged the people to promote cleanliness and stop using plastic products.
Under the “My Bharat, Intoxicant-Free Bharat” campaign of the Brahma Kumaris, a program was conducted at the P.C. Bagla Inter College. Students took a pledge to stay away from intoxicants on this occasion. DC Mr. Praveen Kumar Laxkar asked the students to stay away from drugs and concentrate more on studies. College Principal Mr. Radheshyam Varshney along with the staff and students participated in this program.
