Hathras ( Uttar Pradesh): The Brahma Kumaris of Anandpuri Colony in Hathras, in collaboration with P.C. Bagla University and the N.S.S, held a one-day camp for students under the ‘Youth for Global Peace’ campaign.
Under the guidance of coordinators Dr. M.P. Singh and Dr. Santosh Kumar, the students took out a rally that culminated at the Brahma Kumaris center in Anandpuri Colony. The students carried slogans regarding girl child education and drug de-addiction to generate mass awareness. The rally culminated at the Anandpuri Colony center of Brahma Kumaris.
At the Brahma Kumaris center, inspirations were given under the ‘Youth for Global Peace’ campaign. BK Shanta, Incharge of the Anandpuri Colony center, said that the Youth must adopt spirituality in addition to their formal education, to make their lives easy. Excessive use of Mobile phone damages the mind and body of youngsters. Only a calm mind would be able to help itself and others in the coming times, when we would likely face many challenges. She apprised everyone of the theme of the ‘Youth for Global Peace’ initiative.
Dr. M. P. Singh, Coordinator of N. S. S, said that in order to bring awareness in society about important issues, such camps are held from time to time. By this initiative, not only the participating students, but the general population will become aware about these issues. Dr. Santosh Kumar, Coordinator, N.S.S, said that the peaceful and clean environment in which this Camp was held here is an inspiration.
Pandit Ashish Sharma, Head of Municipal Corporation, joined the others in cleaning the surrounding areas.
