Brahma Kumaris Felicitated with Mother Teresa Award in Kolkata

Kolkata ( West Bengal ): BK Kanan, Centre Incharge of Kolkata Museum, Brahma Kumaris Eastern Zone H.Q., was selected for her significant contribution towards establishing Peace and Harmony in West Bengal and was felicitated with the Mother Teresa Award.
The Caring Minds organization with the support of Halo Heritage & Chitrangada arranged this Bijaya Sarbajaya Samman Program 2019 at the Nazrul Tirtha in Kolkata. In this program, they honored 10 selected powerful women personalities of West Bengal representing 10 hands of Ma Durga, each from different sectors of the society, who have contributed significantly in their field in the last year.
The other nine ladies who were also felicitated with this award are Ananya Bhattacharya, founder of Bangla Natak.Com; Oendrila Roy Chowdhury, IPS, Asst. Commissioner of Police; Amrita Roy Chowdhury, Café Area with special child caring; Paromita, Editor and Senior Journalist; Sukanya Bose, Deputy Director CSR, Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industries; Chandrabali Rudra Dutta, well-known Singer of Rabindra Sangeet; Rittika Banerjee, Social Worker; Ruma Roy Chowdhury, Taekwondo Champion; and Sayani Das, who swam across the English Channel. In this program, well-known personalities participated such as Debasish Sen, Chairman of HIDCO; Subrata Dutta, Member, Board of Director LOC, FIFA; and mother of Nobel Laureate Abhijit Banerjee.
