Uzhgorod ( Russia ):The Youth Day was organized in Uzhgorod, organized by the Student Republic of Transcarpathia, the Transcarpathian League of KVN, the National Youth Rada of Ukraine with the support of the Transcarpathian State Administration and the Uzhgorod City Council.
The holiday program included round tables with the participation of public organizations and representatives of local authorities, a bike ride and the Holi festival (which has been celebrated in Europe for several years in July).
Before the start of all the events, a group of youth day organizers met with the coordinator of the Center Brahma Kumaris in Uzhgorod and was engaged in meditation.
Elena Bilanina: “Someone starts her day with coffee, someone – with a run, and we – with an introductory lesson of Raja Yoga, which was organized by the Transcarpathian Youth Council in celebration of the annual Youth Day in Uzhgorod”.
Representatives of the Brahma Kumaris Center also participated in a round table with the participation of representatives of public organizations, during which issues of the city’s youth strategy were discussed, youth entrepreneurship and employment issues, youth participation in decision-making processes and communication with government authorities were discussed.
In the evening, before the beginning of the Holi celebration, a meeting was held on the “Development of the creative movement in Uzhgorod through the eyes of young people”, during which a discussion was held on support for the creative youth of the city, with interesting suggestions and recommendations from the participants.
