The traditional festival of Raksha Bandhan is celebrated across the world by all Hindu communities and marks the pure relationship of a Brother and Sister. The sister (older or younger) ties the sacred thread of Rakhi around the wrist of her Brother (younger/older) in turn for which the brother promises his sister to protect her forever and she in turn promises to take care of him forever.
