New Delhi : The Brahma Kumaris has been awarded the “Jal Prahari Samman” (Water Sentinel) Award for 2019, by the Jal Shakti Ministry of the Government of India. This award was given in recognition of the efforts for water conservation made by the organization.
At a function held at the constitution club in Delhi, this award was given by Mr. U.P. Singh, Secretary, Jal Shakti Ministry; Mr. Ramlal, National General Secretary of BJP; and Mr. Shyam Jaju, National Vice President of BJP. BK Pari from the Water Department of the Brahma Kumaris accepted this award on behalf of the organization.
Water conservationists from all over the country were felicitated at this function. The Brahma Kumaris organization is working actively in the field of water conservation for the past few years. The “My Rajasthan, Prosperous Rajasthan” campaign of the organization has done extensive work in this area. The achievements of this campaign resulted in this award. The organization has pledged to give more importance to water conservation in the coming times.
