Brahma Kumaris at Gandhi Peace Garden in State University of New York

New York ( USA ): A planting of 150 trees on the college campus of SUNY (the State University of New York) in Old Westbury on Long Island in New York, USA, was held to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.  It is a combined collaboration between the Indian government, the State University of New York, and the not-for-profit sector to arrange such a special site and commemoration.

The Brahma Kumaris participated in the ceremony along with the New York Consul General Mr. Sandeep Chakravarty and a key organizer, Mr. Arvind Vora, representing the Shanti Fund.

BK Anjani and BK Sunaina from the Brahma Kumaris, New York, were present with the distinguished guests and the placard commemorating the unique site.
