The Brahma Kumaris are doing everything to deal with Covid-19.
Mount Abu ( Rajasthan): As India is still battling the devastating second wave of Covid-19, the number of cases in India are hitting a record high with over 4 lakh (400,000) new infections being reported daily. At this time of crisis, the Brahma Kumaris Organization has come forward to assist the Government in its full capacity to tide over this health crisis. The Global Hospital and Research Center (GHRC) of the Brahma Kumaris has dedicated its infrastructure, manpower and resources to the treatment and care of Covid patients. It has dedicated 4 of its holdings in Mount Abu and Abu Road, to serve as Covid Care Centers. All 3 hospitals of Brahma Kumaris, Global Hospital in Mount Abu, Trauma Center in Abu Road and BSES in Mumbai, are working to contribute in this hour of crisis.
The Mansarovar Complex of Brahma Kumaris on Abu Road is also serving as one of the best Covid Care Centers of India, having 500 beds specially reserved for Corona patients, provided to the state government of Rajasthan. A 100-bed facility is operating at Anand Sarovar Campus for in-house treatment of members of Brahma Kumaris affected by Coronavirus.
Dr. Pratap Midha, Director of GHRC, said that the situation is very challenging and distressing. We consider the whole world as one family, so we are doing our bit. J. Watumull Global Hospital and Research Center in Mount Abu and RM Mehrotra Global Hospital Trauma Center on Abu Road are operating in full capacity by providing 40 and 30 beds respectively for Covid Patients. Doctors and Paramedics are working round the clock for patient care. Well being consultations and counselings are also being provided. CT Scan provided at the Trauma Center of GHRC is the only such facility available in the entire Sirohi district. House keeping staff keeps the campus properly sanitized. So far about 900 patients have received treatment at GHRC, with a recovery rate of more than 90 percent.
Brahma Kumaris is also serving free of cost fully vegetarian, high protein meals to Covid Patients every day. Patients also receive coconut water and fruit juices along with the meals. Meals are prepared within the premises in hygienic conditions.
From providing Covid Care facilities to meeting oxygen requirements and procuring medicines, Brahma Kumaris is doing everything to deal with Covid.
