Brahma Kumaris Address Indian Independance Day Celebrations in Bay Area, USA

San Jose, California ( USA ) : The Brahma Kumaris Silicon Valley participated at the SWADES Mela (the largest Indian Independence Day celebrations in the Bay Area, in California) organized by the Association of Indo Americans. There were close to 20,000 people who participated in the day-long mela, and the event included a musical concert by Indian Idol Revant with his entire musical troop.

BK Sister Kusum of Brahma Kumaris Silicon Valley gave greetings on Indian Independence Day.  Dignitaries on the stage included San Francisco Indian Consul General Sanjay Panda, San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo, Fremont Mayor Lily Mei, Cupertino Mayor Darcy Paul, BK Kusum, Sheriff Laurie Smith of Santa Clara County, Undersheriff Rick Sung of Santa Clara County, Milpitas Planning Commissioner Evelyn Chua and Milpitas Council member Carmen Montano.

BK Kusum had an opportunity to interact with many dignitaries including Milpitas Council Member Carmen Montano and Milpitas Planning Commissioner Evelyn Chua. The event ended with a beautiful fireworks show.
