“Being Optimistic during present times” Program for Paraplegic Ex-servicemen

Mohali ( Punjab ): Brahma Kumaris conducted a session on “Being Optimistic during present times” at the Paraplegic Rehabilitation centre in Mohali. Around 40 persons (paraplegic former servicemen) along with their families attended the session.

BK Meena said that by having positive thoughts, our mind and body remain energetic by which we can make proper decisions in our life.  She emphasized the impact of thoughts on body organs and relations.

BK Suman conducted an experiential meditation for all. Everyone experienced deep silence and positivity during the practical meditation session.

Col. Gurkirat Singh Nagra, Director, Paraplegic Rehabilitation center, also attended the session and appreciated the efforts of Brahma Kumaris.

The Paraplegic Rehabilitation Center is a premier institution, being run for rehabilitation of paraplegic former servicemen, who have been injured during and where injury sustained by an individual is attributable to military service. The centers are to provide after-care and medical aid, including free boarding, lodging and financial rehabilitation, to such paraplegics of defense services. PRC also trains program participants in vocational activities, so that they can become economically self-reliant.
