Assam Governor Praise Brahma Kumaris work to promote mental and spiritual wellbeing

Guwahati ( Assam ) : Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi attended an event “Happiness Unlimited” organised jointly by Brahma Kumaris and Lions Club of Guwahati Elite at ITA Centre for Performing Arts today which was also graced by Sister BK Shivani, an eminent spiritual speaker.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said, “Brahma Kumaris show us that essence of our identity is not physical but spiritual being which embodies love, peace, purity and understanding. India is the most ancient civilization which is based on the virtues of love, peace and purity. Our country has always been looked upon by the world as a land of wealth where the people posses unparallel wisdom.”

Highlighting on the nations’s spiritual value, Prof. Mukhi said, “From time immemorial our country believes in a universal truth that is ‘Vasudaiva Kutumbakam’ which means the world is one family. This is a strong demonstration of the all-inclusive nature that our Indian tradition has embraced. Unity in diversity is something that we have been practicing for ages. Moreover, we have been living in perfect harmony by promoting social and spiritual co-existence.”

The Governor said, “It is appropriate to have organised the event on ‘Happiness Unlimited’ at a time when the nation is celebrating 75th year of India’s independence and the discussions would help us to connect us with our past and rediscover our rich essence”. He also expressed his happiness that Brahma Kumaris has taken the role to help individuals transform their perspective of the world from material to spiritual. The Governor also hailed Sister Shivani for her work to promote mental and spiritual wellbeing of the people.

The event was attended by members from the Brahma Kumaris and Lions Club of Guwahati Elite along with a host of other dignitaries.
