Ludhiana ( Punjab ): On the grand occasion of International Yoga Day, Brahma Kumaris in collaboration with the Punjab Government, under which the Anti-Drug Campaign was formally launched at Guru Nanak Stadium by the Hon’ble Ludhiana Deputy Commissioner ( DC ) Surabhi Malik, MLA Madan Lal Bagga, MLA Gurpreet Gogi, MLA Ashok Prashar, Ludhiana Police Commissioner Kaustubh Sharma, Khanna ADC Amarjit Singh Bains, District Public Relation Officer Puneet Pal Singh Gill, District Sports Officer Ravinder Singh, Principal of Khalsa College for Women Dr. (Mrs.) Mukti Gill and Parveen Bansal.
Dignitaries successfully launched the anti-drug campaign by releasing balloons with no-to-drug messages. As a part of this campaign, Police Commissioner Kaustubh Sharma asked Brahma Kumaris to hold drug de-addiction programs for school and college students where preventive measures for this could be taught to them. He also appreciated Brahma Kumaris for their initiative of eradicating drugs and showed his great interest to provide all kinds of support to Brahma Kumaris for achieving this mission.
MLA Gurpreet Gogi also appreciated Brahma Kumaris.
Everest Yoga Institute conducted a yoga session for the audience. The main objective of the Brahma Kumaris organization and the anti-drug campaign was briefed, which would cover about 300 villages of the district, and 4 days of anti-drug awareness camps would be organized every week. Services will be provided in government rehabilitation centres.
The keynote speaker Psychotherapist, International Trainer and renowned Author Dr Girish D. Patel in his talk, made a scientific point of view about the ill effects of drugs. Yoga for the body and meditation for the mind can help one to get rid of any addiction. He also said that peace of mind is the key to success.
India’s Got Talent contestant J.P. dance academy performed the song ‘Nasha Ek Saza Hai’ (Drugs are punishment). Through drama, the anti-drug message was also conveyed by the Brahma Kumaris youth group.
The event went successful with the valuable support of the District Administration, Municipal Corporation, CMO Office, Youth Affairs, Sports and District Sports Office staff, Sports Authority of India, Government College for Girls, Khalsa College for Women and Ramgarhia College.
Deputy Commissioner Surbhi Malik, ADC Amarjit Singh Bains and Ludhiana Incharge Brahma Kumari Saraswati shared their valuable views and thanked everyone.
पंजाब सरकार और ब्रह्मकुमरीज़ ने संयुक्त रूप से अंतर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस के अवसर पर ‘नशा विरोधी अभियान’ की शुरुआत की
अंतर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस के भव्य अवसर पर ब्रह्माकुमारीज़ द्वारा पंजाब सरकार के सहयोग से एक बड़ा प्रयास किया गया, जिसके तहत गुरु नानक स्टेडियम में माननीय लुधियाना उपायुक्त डीसी सुरभि मलिक, विधायक मदन लाल बग्गा, विधायक गुरप्रीत गोगी, विधायक अशोक पराशर, लुधियाना के पुलिस कमिश्नर कौस्तुभ शर्मा, खन्ना एडीसी अमरजीत सिंह बैंस, जिला जनसंपर्क अधिकारी पुनीत पाल सिंह गिल, जिला खेल अधिकारी रविंदर सिंह, खालसा कॉलेज फॉर विमेन डॉ. (श्रीमती. ) मुक्ति गिल और परवीन बंसल जी द्वारा ड्रग विरोधी अभियान की औपचारिक शुरुआत की गई। गणमान्य व्यक्तियों ने नशों के निषेध संदेशों के साथ गुब्बारे छोड़ कर नशा-विरोधी अभियान का सफलतापूर्वक शुभारंभ किया।
इस अभियान के अन्तर्गत, पुलिस कमिश्नर कौस्तुभ शर्मा ने ब्रह्मा कुमारियों को स्कूल और कॉलेज के छात्रों के लिए नशामुक्ति कार्यक्रम आयोजित करने के लिए कहा, जहां उन्हें इसके लिए निवारक उपाय सिखाया जा सके। उन्होंने नशों के उन्मूलन की पहल के लिए ब्रह्मा कुमारियों की भी सराहना की और इस मिशन को प्राप्त करने के लिए ब्रह्मा कुमारियों को हर तरह की सहायता प्रदान करने के लिए अपनी बहुत रुचि दिखाई। विधायक गुरप्रीत गोगी ने भी ब्रह्मा कुमारियों की सराहना की। एवरेस्ट योग संस्थान ने दर्शकों के लिए योग सत्र आयोजित किया।
ब्रह्मकुमारी संस्था के मुख्य उद्देश्य एवं नशा विरोधी अभियान की जानकारी दी गयी, जिसमें जिले के लगभग 300 गांवों को कवर किया जायेगा, प्रत्येक सप्ताह 4 दिवसीय नशा विरोधी जागरूकता शिविर का आयोजन किया जायेगा। सरकारी पुनर्वास केंद्रों में सेवाएं प्रदान की जाएंगी।
मुख्य वक्ता मनोचिकित्सक, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्रशिक्षक और प्रसिद्ध लेखक डॉ. गिरीश डी. पटेल ने अपने भाषण में नशों के दुष्प्रभाव के बारे में एक वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोण रखा। शरीर के लिए योग और मन के लिए मैडिटेशन व्यक्ति को किसी भी नशे से छुटकारा पाने में मदद कर सकते है। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि मन की शांति ही सफलता की कुंजी है। इंडियाज गॉट टैलेंट के प्रतियोगी जेपी डांस एकेडमी ने ”नशा एक सज़ा है’ गाने पर प्रस्तुति दी। नाटक के माध्यम से ब्रह्माकुमारीज़ युवा समूह द्वारा नशा विरोधी संदेश भी दिया गया।
जिला प्रशासन, नगर निगम, सीएमओ कार्यालय, युवा मामले, खेल और जिला खेल कार्यालय के कर्मचारियों, भारतीय खेल प्राधिकरण, गवर्नमेंट कॉलेज फॉर गर्ल्स, खालसा कॉलेज फॉर विमेन और रामगढ़िया कॉलेज के बहुमूल्य सहयोग से यह आयोजन सफल रहा। उपायुक्त महोदया सुरभि मलिक, एडीसी श्री अमरजीत सिंह बैंस और लुधियाना प्रभारी ब्रह्माकुमारी सरस्वती दीदी ने अपने बहुमूल्य विचार साझा किए और सभी को धन्यवाद दिया।
