Abu Road ( Rajasthan ): The Media Wing of the Rajayoga Education and Research Foundation in collaboration with the Brahma Kumaris inaugurated an All India Conference of media representatives in the Conference Hall of Shantivan in Abu Road. The theme of this conference was “The Role of Spirituality in Media in Establishing Peace And Harmony“. Media persons from all over the country participated in large numbers in this program.
Prof. Kamal Dixit, National Convener of Media Initiative for Values, shared his views as the main speaker on this occasion. He said that excessive competition has led to acrimony amongst people. For peace and harmony, journalists need to increase their inner power through spirituality.
Mr. Sandeep Chauhan, Executive Editor of Forest Channel Maharashtra, was the special guest of the day. He said that journalists can definitely establish peace and harmony in the society. But for that, the fearful nature of people needs to change from inside. The difficult work of making people interested in spirituality needs to be done first.
Mr. Vikram Rao, Special Guest and President of Indian Federation of Working Journalists, pointed out the decline in position of journalists in the society today. Media should strive to inculcate spiritual values. This will lead to improvement.
Ms. Nirmala. C. Eligar, Deputy Director of Bangalore Doordarshan, said that spirituality will show the way to peace in this world.
BK Nirwair, Secretary General of the Brahma Kumaris, in his address said that before being a professional, everyone here is a soul. This realization will easily lead to spirituality. The Supreme Soul’s message of peace needs to be given to everyone.
Mr. Pooran Prakash, Member of the Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh, said that today there is so much tension in the world. This place is full of peace and serenity.
Rajayogi BK Karuna, Chairperson of the Media Wing of the Brahma Kumaris, while expressing his best wishes said that everyone must keep coming here to get inspired and work for peace and harmony. This place is the focus from where the Supreme Soul is showing the way towards Universal religion and culture.
BK Sheilu, Vice-Chairperson of the Education Wing of the Brahma Kumaris, guided everyone in practicing Rajayoga Meditation.

विश्व शांति दिवस पर मीडिया कर्मियों से किया शांति और सदभाव फैलाने का आहवान
शांतिवन : विश्व शांति दिवस पर आज शांतिवन आबू रोड में ब्रह्माकुमारीज के मीडिया प्रभाग द्वारा आयोजित मीडिया महासम्मेलन में उपस्थित भारत व नेपाल के 1600 मीडिया कर्मियों से संस्था के महासचिव निर्वेर भाई ने आहवान किया कि अशांति के दावानल में धधक रही दुनियां में अपनी लेखनी से शांति और सदभाव फैलाने का प्रयास करें। उन्होंने 1982 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र संगठन के मंच से दिये गये अपने भाषण के कुछ अंश दोहराते हुए कहा कि यूएनओ का लक्ष्य ही शांति स्थापना है। परमात्मा ने जो स्वर्ग रूपी दुनियां रची उसमें कुछ महाशक्तियां मिजायलों के ढेर लगाने में जुटी हुई हैं। ना जाने कब किसी मनुष्य को क्रोध आ जाये और वो इन मिजायलों का बटन दबा दे। जरूरत इस बात की है कि निरस्त्रीकरण के सिद्धांत को आत्मसात किया जाये। सच्चे स्व:धर्म को पहचानें और विकारों को त्यागते हुए अपने परिवारों को दु:खों से मुक्त करें। ऐसे भागीरथी कार्य में सफलता मीडिया के सहयोग से ही मिल सकती है।
मीडिया प्रभाग के अध्यक्ष करूणा भाई ने कहा कि 140 देशों में फैली ब्रह्माकुमारीज संस्था शांति व सदभाव का संदेश प्रवाहित कर रही है। 10 लाख परिवार इससे जुडे हुए हैं। 40 हजार बहनें और 10 हजार भाई समर्पित भाव से विश्व कल्याण के लिये संस्था में कार्य कर रहे हैं। मीडिया कर्मियों को सकारात्मक रूख अपनाते हुए हर भले कार्य में सहभागी बनना चाहिये।
मथुरा से आये विधायक पूर्ण प्रकाश ने कहा कि मीडिया समाज का दर्पण कहा जाता था लेकिन समय के साथ-साथ इसका स्वरूप भी बदल रहा है। जब अन्य क्षेत्रों में त्रुटियां उजागर हो रही हैं तो मीडिया का इससे अछूता रहना संभव नहीं था फिर भी इस सम्मेलन को देखकर उम्मीद जताई जा सकती है कि मीडिया नकारात्मकता से समाज को मुक्त करने में सहयोग देगा।
दूरदर्शन बैंगलोर की सहायक निदेशिका निर्मल यालीगर ने इस संस्था से जुडने के बाद प्राप्त सुखद अनुभव सांझे करते हुए कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी योग का पूरे विश्व में प्रसार करके स्वस्थ समाज की सरंचना का प्रयास कर रहे हैं। बेटी पढाओ, बेटी बचाओ का जो नारा अब दिया जा रहा है वह ब्रह्माकुमारीज बीते कई दशकों से सार्थक बना रही हैं। अच्छे समाज का निर्माण हमारा सांझा लक्ष्य होना चाहिये।
भोपाल से आये वरिष्ठ पत्रकार प्रो. कमल दीक्षित, महाराष्ट्र वन चैनल के कार्यकारी संपादक संदीप चौहान, इंडियन फैडरेशन आफ वर्किंग जर्नलिस्ट के प्रधान के.विक्रम राव आदि वक्ताओं ने कहा कि शांति और सदभाव के लिये अध्यात्मिकता से जुडकर मीडिया महान भूमिका निभा सकता है। समारोह का उदघाटन दीप जलाकर किया गया। नटराजन नृत्यशाला बैंगलोर के निर्देशक राजू भाई के नेतृत्व में कलाकारों ने शिव पिता का झंडा फहर रहा है शीर्षक गीत पर प्रभावशाली नृत्य प्रस्तुत किया। इससे पूर्व आयोजित स्वागत सत्र का शुभारंभ मूल रूप से आस्ट्रेलिया निवासी डेविड भाई के बांसुरी वादन से हुआ। वक्ताओं में मीडिया प्रभाग के उपाध्यक्ष आत्मप्रकाश भाई, पीस आफ माईंड टीवी के ऐंकर विवेक भाई, खेल प्रभाग की उपाध्यक्ष शशि बहन, राष्ट्रीय संयोजक सुशांत भाई, अखिल भारतीय लघु समाचार पत्र संघ के अध्यक्ष शिव शंकर त्रिपाठी, मुख्यालय संयोजक शांतनू भाई शामिल थे। मुख्य वक्तव्य में मुन्नी बहन ने उम्मीद जताई कि सम्मेलन में भाग लेने वाले मीडियाकर्मी नकारात्मकता त्याग कर स्व: परिवर्तन से विश्व परिवर्तन का संकल्प लेकर जायेंगे। उन्होंने संस्था के उत्थान में निवर्तमान मुख्य प्रशासिका दादी प्रकाशमनी के अमूल्य योगदान की विस्तार से चर्चा की।
