‘A Smile of The Talent’: Program by Brahma Kumaris Moscow

Moscow ( Russia ) : A wonderful programme, dedicated to the memory of Renat Islamovich Ibragimov, Peoples’ Artist of Russia and Tatarstan was organised at Brahma Kumaris, Moscow.

“If you want to shine light on others, carry the sun within you.”

These words of Romain Rolland express the whole essence of the famous singer’s bright personality.

He was always shining, positive and able to rejoice every day. His face constantly lit up with smile.

And therefore, the cultural evening dedicated to him was called “The Smile of Talent”. His talent was multifaceted: He was a singer, artist, actor, composer, poet, writer, producer, film director, creative director of “Theater Renat Ibragimov Song” and so on.

On this very day (20th November, 2022) Renat Islamovich would have turned 75 years old. He gave more than fifty of those years of life to serving people, delighting them with his velvet baritone.

Renat came into contact with Brahma Kumaris in 2007, when the socially significant project of Brahma Kumaris ” Baton of Positive Changes” was launched in Russia. The meeting with Renat was not by chance, as we were united by the same values and similarity of feelings. He was one of the first to support the project. Here are his words of support: “People lead unhealthy lifestyles and burn themselves out. You have to live a long life. The steps of transformation that the Project offers us are the precepts of longevity. To live without anger, envy, rejection – means to live a beautiful life. Then our life is like an art. Let every day be a celebration for us.” Renat himself lived by this way.

“A person should have positive energy. If a person radiates goodness, goodness will be attracted to him. Goodness makes you healthier, improves your mood, and prolongs your life,” he used to say.

Renat Islamovich had always been surrounded by friends. The program received many video recordings dedicated to Renat, with warm words from his friends and colleagues.

Telegram from the Russian State Parliament and letter from Mr. Ravil Kalimullovich Akhmetshin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, Ambassador of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation, were also received on the occasion.

The Memorial Evening was opened with the song “My City” by Renat’s friend, opera singer Vladimir Kudashev, Honoured Artist of Russia and Tatarstan.

Marat Gali, an opera singer of the Bolshoi Theatre, gave the audience a Neapolitan song from his friend’s repertoire. He shared his recollections about his trip together with Renat to Syria to support military men.

Semyon Son, a virtuoso pianist and Professor at the Academy of Music in Barcelonarecounted how he and Renat enthusiastically worked on the creation of musical mixes, combining classical and contemporary music.

Semyon recalled, “one day Renat came to him looking very inspired. I asked him how he got into this mood. He replied: he always became happy when he was in Brahma Kumaris Center“.

Nasima Stolyarova, State and political figure, shared her memories of Renat Ibragimov. She said: “a Man is alive as long as he is remembered. And we will always remember him.”

In his speech Victor Medikov, scientist, politician, public figure, writer said: “There are different systems of governing the world. But the most important one is music. Because music goes straight to the heart, to the soul. And the soul is such a powerful matrix, where everything is conserved for eternity. And many thanks to Brahma Kumaris for organising this evening. The organisation teaches that people need to interact with each other on a spiritual level in order to flourish, he expressed”

Distinguished Artist of the Russian Federation Albert Asadullin performed his hit “The Road Without End” in memory of his friend.

A renowned doctor, Prof. Gennady Sorokoumov, Doctor of Medical Sciences passed on to the participants of the program the warm words from Sergei Vadimovich Stepashin, Chairman of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society and also read his poems dedicated to Renat, with whom he was friend for more than 20 years.

Renat’s son Sultan was present at the memorial evening. He said: “I am very pleased that my father has so many friends”. And he dedicated a song “Tenderness” to the memory of his father.

Sudha Didi:“Truth that will save the world”.

With special interest, guests listened to Sudha Didi, General Director of the Brahma Kumaris, Moscow.

“A lot of people here talked that there is no such thing as death. Yes, the body is mortal, but the soul is eternal. Surely Renat had no idea that he would leave his physical body so soon. But when he came to the Center, he loved to sit in the silence room. Silence gave him the strength to create, the feeling of flying. He craved to know what the soul was all about. He wanted to comprehend the Truth, the One we call Allah, God.

For it is this Truth that will save the world”.

At the end of the Evening all participants of the program came on to the stage to honour the memory of Renat Ibragimov holding a small ignited candle on palm. And from the screen a philosophical song “My Way”, was played, once performed by Late Renat.

This unique soul had a wonderful creative life. And he went to the stars, to the sky.

There was an incredibly strong atmosphere of silence, filled with love and light. Everyone had the feeling that Renat’s soul felt this powerful divine energy of his friends.
