Governor of Telangana and Ministers of Tamil Nadu Congratulate 50 years of selfless service of the Brahma Kumaris

Chennai ( Tamil Nadu ): Grand Golden Jubilee celebrations of Brahma Kumaris Tamilnadu Zone took place for two days in Chennai on the theme “Power of Blessings and Good Wishes“, “Peaceful and Happy Living” on the first day and “Festival of Peace and Happiness” on the second day.

The journey of Brahma Kumaris in Tamil Nadu started in 1970, with a humble beginning of three members from Mount Abu, Rajasthan and now with 350 plus centres across Tamil Nadu, South Kerala and Puducherry.  It was celebrated for two days with four different programmes.

  • Programme 1Power of Blessings & Good Wishes on Saturday 8th October 2022 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall (Lady Andal Auditorium), 13/1, Harrington Road, Chetpet, Chennai.

The full-packed auditorium with 2000 plus people began with lamp lighting.  Rajayogini Sister Jayanti, Additional Chief of Brahma Kumaris said that one can receive blessings from the Lord when he obeys the Lord while offering blessings.

Rajayogi Brij Mohan, Additional Secretary General of Brahma Kumaris delivered the blessing address. He said that when we want to receive, we become selfish, but we find joy in giving to others.

BK Asha, Director of Delhi ORC of Brahma Kumaris, while speaking said that the Lord showers blessings, but we can receive the blessings of the Lord only by living with good thoughts and meditation.

B.K. Karuna, Head of Media Wing and Justice Vallinayagam, Former Justice of Madras High Court delivered their felicitation address. Honourable Thiru K. Ramachandran, Minister for Forest, Govt. of Tamil Nadu launched Kalpa Taru, a tree-planting project of Brahma Kumaris.

B.K. Beena, Zonal Service Coordinator, Brahma Kumaris, TN, South Kerala & Puducherry gave the welcome address.  B.K. Muthumani, Director, Brahma Kumaris, Adyar explained the 5 Decades of the journey of  Spiritual Services in the Tamil Nadu Zone. B.K. Gomati coordinated the programs. B.K. Uma, Service Coordinator, Brahma Kumaris, Madurai sub-zone conducted Rajayoga meditation. B.K. Jhansi Rani, Anna Nagar, Chennai delivered the vote of thanks.

Rajyogini B.K. Jayanti, Addl. Administrative Head of Brahma Kumaris gave the keynote address.  She explained that wealth or beauty doesn’t give peace and happiness.  On the question of what a happy world should look like, she emphasized the importance of a characterful society by saying that people do not choose luxury cars and expensive bungalows, but rather a world full of qualities.

Rajyogi B.K. Brij Mohan, Addl. Secretary General, Brahma Kumaris explained that the cause of all human suffering is thinking of oneself as a perishable body (human) rather than as an imperishable being.

Sekar Babu, Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, Govt. of Tamil Nadu, Honourable Thiru Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, Minister for School Education Govt. of Tamil Nadu, Honourable Thiru Meyyanathan Siva V, Minister for Environment – Climate Change and Youth Welfare and Sports Development Govt. of Tamil Nadu congratulated the 50 years of selfless service of the Brahma Kumaris of Tamil Nadu Mandal, who have been serving on the high principle of One Clan, One God.

The second day morning of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Brahma Kumaris Tamil Nadu Zone started at Sunguarschatram near Chennai.  Sister BK Beena, Tamil Nadu Zonal Service Coordinator gave the welcome speech. BK Pandiamani, Director of Value Education, explained about the 50 years of spiritual services and it’s development in Tamil Nadu.

Nearly 10000 Brahma Kumars and Kumaris and their family members participated in this programme.

Raja Yogini BK Jayanti, Additional Chief of Brahma Kumaris and Rajayogi BK Brijmohan, Additional Secretary General delivered the keynote address. They mentioned that we should share happiness with anyone and not to give sorrow to anyone through body or mind.

Honourable L Murugan, Deputy Minister of States, Animal Husbandry presided over the programme. He mentioned that India is land of spirituality and Brahma Kumaris are playing a key role in amplifying it in India.  He appreciated that this movement is fostering universal brotherhood on this earth.

A souvenir book was released during theGolden Jubilee celebrations. Kalaimamani Parvati Kandasala’s and her team performed a welcome dance. Mrs. Vinaya Karthik Rajan sang the welcome song.  During this event, a special album of songs Sivamagimai – 3 volume by famous singer Janani was released. A video about 50 years of spiritual service of Brahma Kumaris was also released. “Irai Gnana Sinthanaigal” a Tamil book was also released during the event. In the end, BK Uma, Director, Brahma Kumaris Thiruvannamalai made everyone experience peace with her Raja Yoga meditation commentary.

Her Excellency Smt. Tamilisai Soundararajan, Governor of Telangana and LT Governor pf Puducherry, preceded the second-day evening programme. She delivered the keynote address congratulating Brahma Kumaris for their Golden Jubilee celebrations.   She praised Brahma Kumaris sisters and brothers who are usually dressed in white and are like white camphor. They entirely burn themselves in Godly service and spiritual work and get dissolved in the supreme soul’s love.

Mr Veeraiyan, Chancellor of Savita University, Gnana Prakasa Swami, Thondai Mandala Atheenam, Smt. Saraswati Manokaran, Chairman, Kunradathur felicitated the occasion.  At the beginning of the program, hundreds of Brahma Kumar & Kumaris sat and meditated for 15 minutes for world peace.
