“Meditation Retreat to Reconnect, Recharge and Rejuvenate” for Finance Professionals

Manesar ( Haryana ): The Meditation Retreat – “A Retreat to Re-connect, Re-charge and Rejuvenate” was organized by Brahma Kumaris for Finance & Banking Professionals from the Government, Semi- Government, Corporate sectors, and other areas of work. This was a 2-day retreat held at at Om Shanti Retreat Center (ORC), Manesar.

It started at 10.00 AM and continued till next day until 1:00 PM. Around 120+ number of participants benefitted from the program. Participants were enthusiastic for learning & listening to the speakers to reconnect, recharge and rejuvenate.

The unique features of meditation retreat were as follows:

Inauguration:

The programme started with the Inaugural greetings by BK Yeshu and BK Hussain thereby welcoming the guests and participants.

Amb. Kezaala Mohammed Baswari (Acting Ambassador from Uganda High Commission) was invited to the dais to start the session by sharing the views on significance of Spirituality. In a short span of time he learnt the word “Om Shanti” and started his speech by addressing with the same word. Further, he acknowledged that how the Brahma Kumaris and other organizations are doing great contribution for the upliftment of the society and bringing unity to the world.

Mr. Rajeshwar Singhal (Retired IRS officer) shared his views and experience with Brahma Kumaris.

Sanjeev Kumar (CMD of TCIL) said that it was his first time to attend such spiritual event and visiting Brahma Kumaris Campus. He was looking forward for such retreat to attain spiritual experience.

CA Rohit Vashwani, President Bhartiya Vitta Salahkaar Samiti Delhi said that he is chartered accountant by profession and has been working with different institutes and organizations. He also expressed his views and gratitude towards spirituality and Brahma Kumaris.

BK Asha welcomed all the finance professionals for this retreat and gave blessings.

Blessings and inspirations from BK Brij Mohan where focused on the significance of spirituality which gave a deep insight to the participants to know what is the real meaning of spirituality.

The entire event was divided into 5 different sessions followed by guided meditations and exercises.

The main topics of the retreat were:

  • Experience Sharing and Inspiration by Senior Rajyogi Teachers

At the outset, the programme was inaugurated by BK Asha, Director of ORC by lighting the candle. The Inaugural session was attended by professionals from Finance background, who have shared their experiences about significance of spirituality.

The first session post inauguration was “Harmony in Relationships” given by BK Divya who explained how to bring harmony in relationships by removing conflicts and better communication. The entire session was very interactive and fun.

To make the programme more interesting for the participants apart from lecture sessions different games and exercises were conducted in the lawn as an Ice breaker in the evening.

The two sessions focused on knowing yourself as soul and knowing the supreme respectively. The sessions explained about the powers of soul and how can we connect the soul to supreme and attain his powers.

Post this a small session was also taken by BK Asha who explained about the organization to the guests. She also answered few common questions about the organization in general and then everyone headed towards dinner.

Between the sessions experienced Rajyogi teachers through guided meditation took the audience into an inner journey of self-realization, experiencing different stages of meditation and deep connection with Baba.

The Day 2 of the retreat started with Amritvela meditation guided commentary, which was attended by most of the participants, the mediation was a beautiful experience for the guests. During the whole session, the entire classroom was alike real Angelic world with numerous angels and the atmosphere was too powerful.

After the Amritvela meditation, exercise session was also conducted after the gap of 1.5 hours in the same hall from morning 6.30 am to 7am. Post that a beautiful session by senior Rajyogini BK Rama was given on “Recharging Yourself through Meditation”. A campus tour was conducted for the guests after breakfast.

From 10- 11 am a session by BK Shivani was conducted on “Rejuvenate Yourself” where she explained the fundamental reason of meditation to the participants. She also explained about the importance of mediation during these times and how beneficial it is for our overall wellbeing.

Post her session, an interactive workshop was conducted where the guests were divided into 4 different groups and each group was given a unique topic which BK Shivani touched upon in her speech. The groups were then asked to discuss about the topic amongst themselves in detail. A leader within the group was  assigned who would then talk about the topic given to them post discussion. The Main aim of the workshop was a deeper understanding of the topic given to them.

And lastly, there was a question- answer session where participants were given chance to ask their questions which BK Rama & BK Yeshu answered very beautifully. In the end, BK Yeshu thanked everyone for participating.
