Hindi Journalism Day Celebrated by Brahma Kumaris, Hathras

Hathras ( Uttar Pradesh ): The Anandpuri Colony branch of the Brahma Kumaris Hathras organized a function to mark “Hindi Journalism Day”. The theme of the function was “Value-Based Journalism through Spiritual Empowerment”.  Participants included the Vice Chancellor and Registrar of Mangalayatan University. They were joined by the district head of Amar Ujala Mr. Shiv Om Sharma and Senior Journalist Mr. Satish Kulashreshtha  along with BK Shanta and BK Hemlata.

Talking to the assembled guests, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. KVSM Krishna said that reflection on the Supreme Truth brings truthfulness into the heart. News made by listening to the heart will be good news. It would do good to society as well.

BK Arjun, freelance journalist from Delhi, while interacting with the journalists said that honesty is contagious. Small newspapers publishing truth from small towns may be selling less, but they are beacons of light for journalists everywhere. He guided everyone in practicing Rajayoga meditation.

Mr. Kulashreshtha, a veteran journalist, also stressed the need to maintain good values in journalism.

BK Shanta, In charge of the Anandpuri center, said that all values come easily to the one who is in connection with the Supreme Soul.

Registrar and Dean of the Journalism department of Mangalayatan University, Prof. Shiv Shankar, said that without inner peace and happiness, writing cannot be peaceful and effective.

In charge of Dainik Jagran, Mr.Yogesh Kaushik, talked about the ability of journalists to find the truth behind any event.

Mr. Shiv Om Sharma congratulated the Brahma Kumaris for their initiative. All the participating journalists were felicitated.
