Governor of Kerala Praises Brahma Kumaris at Peace Conference, Inaugurates BK Center in Kollam

Kollam ( Kerala ): The Kollam unit of the Brahma Kumaris in Kerela held a grand function on Makar Sankranti to inaugurate a new house “Vishwa Jyoti Bhawan,” dedicated to its founder, Prajapita Brahma Baba, at Sopanam Auditorium. A Peace conference called “Spirituality for Peace and Harmony” was held on this occasion. Honorable Governor of Kerala, Arif Mohammad Khan, along with his wife, Ms. Reshma Arif Mohammad Khan, graced this conference.

Many other dignitaries were present, including Advocate K. Raju, Minister of Forest, Animal Husbandry and Zoo in the Kerala Government; Ms. Honey Benjamin, Mayor of Kollam Corporation; Shri Balan, Deputy Commandant of Police; Mr. Radhakrishnan, Unit Chief of Malayalam newspaper Kerela Kaumathi; Ms. Chinda, Ward Councillor; Rajyogini BK Beena, Coordinator of Brahma Kumaris in South Kerela; BK Kalavathy, Senior Rajyoga Teacher from Chennai, and BK Pankaj.

Speaking on this occasion, Honorable Governor of Kerala, Arif Mohammad Khan, said that India has always based its unity on the potential divinity present in all men. Spiritual unity has bound India together for centuries. Despite having different languages, religions and rituals, India remained one because of Spirituality. It was the knowledge hub of Spirituality. The ignorance of false identity clouds this inherent unity. With right knowledge this unity can be manifested. Duality is only in appearance. This ancient message of India has worldwide significance.

He said that he sees this ancient wisdom of India in all Brahma Kumaris. They are doing tremendous work. He is really proud to have come here. Brahma Kumaris are a source of inspiration for the people, including him. For Indians, religion was never about books and rituals, but actual divine experience. Brahma Kumaris remind us that we have inherited this glorious tradition of India.

His excellency congratulated BKs for their selfless and dedicated services to humanity. More than a thousand people participated in the program from all over Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
