Abu Road ( Rajasthan ): The social activity group of the Brahma Kumaris, under its “Environment Protection Campaign,” shared the message of water conservation by planting 5,000 saplings in fifteen days at Mount Abu. The target is to plant 40,000 trees under this campaign.
Dadi Janki, Head of the Brahma Kumaris, on the completion of the first 5,000 trees’ plantation, said that plant life is a must for a healthy lifestyle. She urged all the Brahma Kumaris centers across the country to plant at least one tree and take care of it.
BK Nirwair, Secretary General of the Brahma Kumaris, apprised Dadi Janki of the master plan for water conservation and environment protection by the organization this year. He forewarned that if we do not become aware of this now, the coming time could be very difficult.
BK Bharat, Head of the Social Activity Group, urged everyone to plant more trees and also look after them well. Under this initiative trees were planted at Kala Magra, Kinvarli, Anand Sarovar, Manmohini Van, Umarni, Amthala, Morthala, Abu Road, Sirohi, Daanvav, Talhati and Mukri Mata.
The organization has declared that it will provide saplings to volunteers willing to participate in the initiative. Various varieties of Mango, Jamun, Syzgium Cumini, Peepal, Ficus Religiosa, Sheesham, Indian Rosewood, Neem, Azadirachta Indica and Barh, Ficus Bengalensis are being planted.
