A Grand Celebration at “Inner Space” Alwarpet Branch in Chennai

Adyar, Chennai ( Tamil Nadu ): The Inner Space Alwarpet branch hosted a unique event to give a divine experience to visitors on the occasion of Navaratri celebrations. The event included Carnatic music and Bharatnatyam dance concerts by young artists of various well-known institutions, a spiritual message about Navaratri every day by Brahma Kumari sisters, felicitations of dignitaries, and a live show of deities including 1. Durga, 2. Lakshmi, 3. Saraswathi, 4. Parvathi, 5. Andal, 6. Umadevi, 7. Gayathri Devi, 8. Chandika Devi, 9. Vaishno Devi 10. Santhoshi Matha.

The model on the cycle of time (Kaal Chakra), a “Golu” grand display of various deities depicting the greatness of all ages, a Model of Paradise, the Tree of Values, a pictorial exhibition on Rajayoga Meditation, audio-visual shows …  everything together gave a complete rejuvenating experience to the eyes, ears and even to the mind.

In the meditation hall, one could get a feel of stillness of mind with sweet silence. No wonder we call it “The Navarathri Experience!”

Visited by huge crowds on all 10 days, this event created an extraordinary sensation!  This was the feedback shared by the celebrities who visited the events. About 100 celebrities took part in the function and had an experience of spiritual joy and peace.

The event was inaugurated by Rajayogini Brahma Kumari Muthumani; Smt. Rajathi Ammal Karunanidhi, wife of former Chief Minister of Tamilnadu; Honorable Justice S. Vaithyanathan of Madras High Court, and Mr. S. Ve. Sekar, actor and politician.

Students from Children’s Garden HSS, Rajah Muthiah HSS, SIET Boys HSS and Dr. MGR Janaki College of Arts and Science visited the show in many groups and received benefit from the awareness of ‘Who am I?’, ‘Power of Mind’ and ‘Value of Thoughts’.

While speaking in the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of Mylapore A. Jayalakshmi mentioned about the significance of women and their self-empowerment.

In addition to the Golu, the visitors were impressed by the Meditation Room at the Inner Space. All the guests and cultural artists were honoured with a shawl and Godly gifts. Overall this event was the cynosure of all eyes, warmer of hearts, and is sure to be remembered for times to come. Chennai truly immersed in the heritage Navaratri festival in full glory, ushering the dawn of the new age.
