Value-Based Summer Camp for Children

Borivali East, Mumbai (Maharashtra) : A Summer Camp was organized for children 8 to 16 years of age at the Brahma Kumaris Center of Prabhu Upvan, in Borivali (East). The objective of the camp was to inculcate moral values and teach useful skills to the children.
 
The daily sessions were designed in two parts: the first part was a sharing, based on values like Happiness and Honesty, and the second part was an activity such as Dance, Crafts, etc.
 
Various competitions including singing, fancy dress, and elocution were conducted on the last day. Prizes were distributed for the best performances in competition. Also a special prize of Summer Camp Prince and Princess were given to the Best Student based on their behavior, neatness of notes, creativity and active participation in all sessions during the summer camp. 
 
Well-known personalities including Mukesh Khanna ji (TV/Film Actor, famous as a Shaktimaan) and Krish Parekh (Child artist, famous as Gundappa in the TV serial Tenali Rama) gave their presence and inspired children with their speeches.
 
Around 170 children attended this camp. Parallel sessions for Parents were also conducted on topics such as Understanding your Children, Anger Management, Happiness and Rajayoga Meditation.
