Nagaland Minister of Higher Education & Tribal Affairs Lauds Brahma Kumaris, Flags off ‘Peace Angel Rally’

Kohima ( Nagaland ): Brahma Kumaris, Kohima Branch undertakes ‘Peace Angel Rally’ with the theme ‘Universal peace and harmony’.

Honorable Minister of Higher and Technical Education & Tribal Affairs, Government of Nagaland,  Temjen Imna Along flagged off the peace angel rally on the theme “universal peace and harmony” in  Sokhriezie Park. The rally culminated at Ura Academy, Kohima.

According to a DIPR report, speaking as the chief guest, Along said the rally initiative would help every citizen of the state endeavor to have peace within oneself and to achieve it all around.

He lauded Brahma Kumaris which he said was recognized worldwide for helping people overcome many difficulties through meditation and bringing communities together.

BK Rupa Raj said that the Brahma Kumaris was a “spiritual movement that originated in Hyderabad during the 1930s.”

Adding that it taught a form of meditation that focused on identity as souls, as opposed to bodies, and believed that all souls were intrinsically good and that God was the source of all goodness. She said that the organisation taught on transcending labels associated with the body, such as race, nationality, religion and gender and aspired to establish a global culture based on what it called “soul-consciousness.”

Earlier, she spoke on the importance of value education and meditation and BK Vinod highlighted aims and objectives.
