Lok Sabha Speaker Addresses Social Leaders E-Conference by Brahma Kumaris

The Social Wing of the Brahma Kumaris are hosting a three-day social leaders E-Conference on the topic “Facing the Future Without Fear.” The Chief Guest of this E-Conference was Honorable Speaker of Lok Sabha Om Birla.

Conveying his best wishes for this initiative, Om Birla, Speaker of Lok Sabha, said that he has been associated with the Brahma Kumaris for quite some time now. He has been fortunate to attend many of their programs.  He has become a member of the BK family now. Brahma Kumaris is a world-renowned organization working for human welfare. Their contribution in the field of spirituality,  yoga and education is noteworthy.

Starting in 1937, Brahma Baba, known as Lekhraj Kriplani, Founder of the Brahma Kumaris, exhorted people to look beyond material comforts and work for their spiritual well being. Today, the Organization works in more than 110 countries of the world, having more than 10 lakh (1,000,000) members.  It teaches people of all castes and creeds to experience their ultimate well being. It strives to make this world a better place.  Rajayoga is their method of connecting with the Supreme. It leads one to self knowledge.  It is an effective way to achieve a healthy body through a healthy mind.

Brahma Kumaris Organization works for many ideals enshrined in the constitution of India, and has achieved much success in these endeavors. Yoga gives inner strength. In these difficult times of coronavirus pandemic,  we need to empower our selves with yoga and also take care of our environment.

BK Sister Jayanti, Director of the Brahma Kumaris in Europe and the Middle East, said that spirituality is the answer to major world problems of today, as it can change the character and will of man. This realization has dawned on major world leaders of today and Meditation is recommended everywhere.  Spirituality is different from religion.  Understanding the self, Supreme Soul and Karma philosophy is the basis of Spiritual wisdom.  It gives the strength needed to cope with problems like Covid 19 and climate change.

BK Mruthyunjyaya, Executive Secretary of the Brahma Kumaris and Chairperson of the Education Wing, said that in this time of great economic losses due to the coronavirus pandemic,  the teaching of simple living and high thinking by the Brahma Kumaris holds true. We must face all challenges with strength taken by connecting with the Supreme Soul.

BK Vandana from Mumbai, Member of the Social Wing, in her address talked about the need to connect with the Supreme Soul through Rajayoga to experience all power.

Manohar Lal Khattar, Chief Minister of Haryana, Sudhir Mungantiwar (former Finance Minister, Maharashtra); Ms. Harjinder Kaur (former Mayer, Chandigarh); Dr. Ashwini Kumar Gupta (International President, Alliance Club); and Ms. Rashmi Krishnan (Indian Administrative Service, Delhi), will address the e-conference on 19th July, from 5 pm to 6:30 pm IST (India time).
