Dadi Janki Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

Pune University Felicitated Dadi Janki with Lifetime Achievement Award

Pune (Maharashtra): Spiritual Administrative Head of the Brahma Kumaris Dadi Janki was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award by Savitribai Phule Pune University, on the occasion of their 70th Foundation Day celebrations.

Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Nitin R Karmalkar, expressed deep appreciation for the pioneering efforts done by Dadi Janki in the field of spirituality.  Every year this university honours people who have rendered eminent services to mankind in their respective fields.

BK Lalitha with other Brahma Kumars and Kumaris attended the event at Pune University where a video was played highlighting the Tireless services of Dadi Janki for 103 years. Later, a team from Pune University met Dadi Janki in Mumbai to felicitate her.

While accepting the award, Dadi Janki said that she was a virtual nobody with no possessions, until the Supreme Father took her under His wings and brought her this far. The value of her face, which so many people come to see from far and wide is due to the light of His grace on her. She is active at 103 years because of her enthusiasm to perform His divine mission. She stands wonderstruck in front of the power of His might.

She recalled her inital days at Worli and Ghatgopar in Mumbai, when she used to teach a class of only a few students. Today, the Brahma Kumaris family in Mumbai has grown by leaps and bounds. This is possible only due to the power and grace of the Supreme Soul, which guides all such efforts.

This honour falling in Dadi Janki’s lap is a recognition of the value of spirituality in today’s times of division and turmoil. The example of pure and divine living, symbolized by Dadi’s life, needs to be emulated worldwide for a better tomorrow.
