Brahma Kumaris Sign MoU for Value-Based Education Courses with Mohanlal Sukhadia University

Abu Road ( Rajasthan ): The Brahma Kumaris signed a Memorandum of Understanding (or MoU) with Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, regarding new courses and syllabus for the Youth.  The MoU was signed by BK Mruthyunjyaya, Chairperson of the Education Wing of the Brahma Kumaris, and Amarika Singh, Vice Chancellor of Mohanlal Sukhadia University. This MoU was passed with consensus by the University Academic Council.

Mr. Amarika Singh, VC of Mohanlal Sukhadia University, also visited Mount Abu, the International headquarters of the Brahma Kumaris, along with his family. He toured Shantivan and enquired in detail about the various activities of the Brahma Kumaris.  After looking at the curriculum of the Education Wing of the Brahma Kumaris, being run in collaboration with 12 other universities, it was decided to implement this MoU. This includes a degree and diploma course on the Thought Lab and another diploma course on Value-Based Journalism being made generally known by the Media Wing of the Brahma Kumaris.

The University has proposed making Shantivan in Mount Abu as a study centre for these courses.  A team from the University visited Shantivan and held detailed discussions on these proposals.  This included Prof. Sadhana Kothari, Member, Board of Management; Prof. Ghanshyam Singh Rathore; Prof. P.K. Singh, Dean, Commerce College; Prof. Shoorvir Singh Bhanawat from the Banking Administration Department; Dr. Kunjan Acharya, Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, and Mr. Mukesh Barbar, Registrar.

BK Karuna, Multimedia Head of the Brahma Kumaris; BK Shantanu,  Headquarters Coordinator of the Media Wing; and BK Komal, Public Relations Officer, represented the Brahma Kumaris on this occasion.
