Brahma Kumaris Address Interfaith Global Summit in Ludhiana

Ludhiana ( Punjab ): Dedicated to the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the Alliance for Sikh Organisations organised an Interfaith Global Summit at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU).

Prominent personalities from different religions, including Giani Harpreet Singh, Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib; Kevin Arstide, a Jewish Scholar from Switzerland; BK Ankita, Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University; Maulana Muhammad Umair Alasi, Chief Imam India; Nicholas Vreeland, Director of The Tibetan Centre, New York; and Rev. Father Ajeet Patrick, Secretary to the Bishop, Delhi, attended the event.

Hosts of the summit Parampal Singh and Gursahib Singh said the Interfaith Summit was dedicated to the 550th Birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev and the motive was to bring all religious leaders on a common platform and to interact with the gathering.

BK Ankita from the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University said that the feeling of brotherhood should be developed among all religions. In the past, around 70% of the wars were held due to religion, but people should be aware and should avoid hatred. She said that meditation is the way to reach God.

Around 2,000 persons attended the summit.
