Blood Donation Camp by Brahma Kumaris of Agartala

Agartala (Tripura): A blood donation camp was organised on the premises of Gyan Uday Bhawan, Brahma Kumaris, Agartala. A team of doctors, nurses  and other health professionals from the “Tripura State Blood Transfusion Council” came for blood collection. The event was attended by various dignitaries from different professional fields.

In his auspicious presence, SC Das, Retired Chief Justice of the High Court, enlightened people quoting various health benefits of donating blood. Tripura being the leading state in blood donation in India has always receive an overwhelming response for such events.

Dr. Biswajit Debbarman from the IGM Hospital in his speech motivated the blood donors and also made people aware of the fact that any person above 18 years of age can donate blood three times a year if he/she is not suffering from any acute health problem.

BK Kavitha, Incharge of the Brahma Kumaris center, Agartala, was delighted by the overwhelming response from the Brahma Kumaris family and urged more people to participate in future events.

A total of 35 donors voluntarily came forward for this noble cause among whom five dedicated Brahma Kumari brothers and sisters were also present.

A certificate of appreciation, badge, donation card and refreshment were given to each donor as a token of gratitude.
