3-Day VIHASA Workshop in Bhilwara Medical College

Bhilwara ( Rajasthan ): Three days special workshops with six sessions were organized for first year medical students on positivity module of Vihasa. Around 150 students participated in it.

Dr Aseri, Additional Principal welcomed all facilitators and requested students to inculcate positive values in their life to become successful doctors.

Later Dr Shalabh Sharma, Principal and Controller himself visited and participated in the sessions. He greeted all facilitators with a  bouquet and thanked the Brahma Kumaris organization for taking initiative to train students on values. He himself participated in the workshop and liked the content and theme of workshop and also appreciated the way it was conducted. He described it as his lifetime experience and said that, he was in a state of peace for two hours after a long time.

Various activities e.g. benefits of being positive, valuing self, thoughts exchange from negative to positive, stand back, observe and steer (SOS) and appreciation were conducted. Tools used for execution were reflection, visualization, meditation, silence, play and appreciation.

All students were quite open and actively participated in all activities and gave their feedback.

Closing was done by observing silence in rememberance of the souls who lost their lives during Corona pandemic.

Blessing cards and toli(sweets) were also distributed in the end.

Dr Chitra Purohit did the coordination and the untiring efforts of her and her team made the event successful.

Sessions were facilitated by Dr RS Shrotriya, Dr M L Jatav, BK Priyanka, BK Deepa, BK Rashmi, BK Manisha, BK Vijay and BK Shashikant.
