Guwahati ( Assam ): It was all fun and inspirations at the International Women’s Day Celebrations at the Brahma Kumaris Rupnagar Center in Guwahati. The event titled “Women as the Welfare of our Nation” marked honoring a number of eminent women personalities serving society in various fields.
Dr. Kavita Gaggar, Faculty, Guwahati Commerce College, addressed and inspired the gathering, along with Ms. Purabi Borah, Author and Motivational Speaker, as Special Guests.
The Keynote Speech was delivered by Brahma Kumari Dr. Kaberi Kakati, Assistant Professor, Head and Neck Oncology Department, Dr. B. Barooah Cancer Institute, and was well received by the audience.
A mesmerizing dance-drama was performed by BK Ruby and Group which enthralled one and all in the audience. Earlier, Kumari Avnita Doley sang a song on women empowerment and BK Rajyogini Sanhita coordinated the stage.
Rajyogini BK Rekha led the audience towards an inner journey for realization of innate values of every soul, be it men or women.
More than 300 women new to the organization participated in the program and expressed happiness for the opportunity.
