“Women as Sculptor of the Culture” – International Women’s Day in Mysore

Mysore ( Karnataka ): On the occasion of the 111th International Women’s Day, Gyan Sarovar Retreat Center Mysore celebrated Women’s Day as “Women as Sculptor of the Culture.”

BK Sudesh, European Director of Brahma Kumaris Germany, inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp along with other guests and shared her deep insight of how the word mother, “maa,” has its own significance in all walks of life from At’ma’ (Soul) to Go’ma’. She further explained the Divine outlook in depth, including that the goddess and their decoration on 8 hands depicts the destruction of evil. BK Sudesh with her precious words called upon every woman in the audience to become an embodiment of Shiv Shakti and to ride on a tiger and not on a goat.  The goat screams “I” in helplessness or in ego consciousness. With her vibrant vibrations, she inspired everyone to make a shrine of the mind, monastery of the house, then the world will become heaven.

Chief guest Mrs. K.C. Divyashree, Superintendent of Police, District Jail, Mysore, appreciated the work of the Brahma Kumaris in bringing transformation in the minds of prisoners. She emphasized the importance of women’s education.

Mrs. Dr. BK Soumya Mani, gynecologist from Hassan, shared her practical experience whilst celebrating the 111th International Women’s Day, sharing that gender equality is still a question mark. Our clothes should make people open their eyes, rather than close their eyes.

Mrs. Suma Rajkumar was honored for her outstanding performance in the field of ventriloquism and magic.  BK Laxmiji, presiding the program, greeted everyone. BK Sharada, In-charge of Gyan Sarovar Retreat Center, welcomed the audience.  BK Rashmi spoke on the objective of the event. The audience was taken on a journey of Meditation by BK Yathna and the event was well managed by BK Shivleela.
