Miami, Florida ( USA ): Third Sunday, February 20th was also the UN Observance of the World Day of Social Justice. In conjunction with World Meditation Hour, two “movement lawyers” actively engaged in social justice work shared their stories of founding the Community Justice Project.
Meena Jagannath is currently Director of Global Programs for the Movement Law Lab in New York. Alana Greer is the Co-Founder of the Community Justice Project in Miami. She is the daughter of Dr. Pedro Jose Greer, a physician and McArthur Fellow nationally known for his work with underserved and unsheltered individuals.
