Wanavadi (Pune, Maharashtra): Diabetes is India’s fastest-growing disease. In the year 2017, 72 million cases have been registered; this figure is expected to almost double by 2025. In diabetic patients, the chance of blindness, kidney failure, heart attack, etc., are increasing.

Keeping in view the seriousness of the disease, the Brahma Kumaris Wanawadi branch is organizing a two-day Diabetes Camp titled “Alvida Diabetes (Goodbye Diabetes)” for the local and surrounding people of the Pune community. Through simple exercise, diet and meditation, how diabetes can be controlled is taught by the specialized doctors in the field of diabetes. Entry to the camp is free for all the registered participants. This is an invaluable opportunity for diabetic people. Non-diabetic persons too can attend to become aware of preventive methods.
