United Nations Congratulates Brahma Kumaris as World Environment Day Hero

Raipur (Chhattisgarh): The United Nations congratulated the Brahma Kumaris for participating in World Environment Day celebrations and planting trees to reduce and prevent air pollution.  The Agriculture and Rural Development Wing of the Brahma Kumaris celebrated World Environment Day at more than 300 Brahma Kumaris centers.

The United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment) thanked 125 Brahma Kumaris centers by conferring appreciation certificate as a World Environment Day Hero for participating in World Environment Day efforts and joining them in efforts to reduce and prevent air pollution.

BK Chandrakala organized a program on World Environment Day in Jaipur in the central park. The team of the United Nations felicitated the Brahma Kumaris Raipur for the programs conducted on Environment Day. They were also appreciated by issuing a certificate for initiating a plantation drive for reducing air pollution.

On the occasion of World Environment Day, on June 9, an Environment Festival was celebrated in Shanti Sarovar Raipur, with the theme of environmental protection and our duties toward that protection. As a guest in this program, Mundit Kumar, the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, and  BK Kamala, BK Regional Director, attended and shared their inspirations on this subject.  Methods for forest and water conservation were discussed at the function.
