“Thought Lab” by Brahma Kumaris of Adyar

Chennai (Tamil Nadu): As part of the Education Wing’s Services, the Brahma Kumaris of Adyar is expanding its services into one more avenue called “Thought Lab”.

The Anand Institute of Higher Technology, of Kazhipattur, Chennai, has been the instrument to take up this new initiative along with the Brahma Kumaris. With many technology courses being offered over there, AIHT belongs to the Kalasalingam Group of Educational Institutions, one of the reputed Education Service Group in South India.

Dr. S. Arivalagi, Secretary of AIHT, was inspired by the concept of value education, and wanted to extend the services to their students and staffs.  Keeping that in mind, AIHT has come forward to work in collaboration with the BKs through “Thought Lab”.

Thought Lab has the facilities of a class hall, meditation room, counseling room, library and an audio-visual room.

The very first program was celebrated there in which Rajayogini BK Muthumani, Director of the Brahma Kumaris in Adyar; Dr. S. Arivalagi; and BK Gopalakrishnan, Deputy Director, Municipal Administration; presided over the function.  Around 150 people participated in the program.

BK Muthumani shared insights on the significance of Shiv Ratri and the need for bringing in virtues and values in our life and shared how Value education plays an important role in this.

Dr. S. Arivalagi admitted the fact that we need inner strength to overcome any weak or negative thoughts that come in our mind, and Rajayoga meditation helps us in doing that.

BK Gopalakrishnan shared his personal experiences of the benefits of practicing Rajayog in his spiritual journey of 25 years.
