Mohali (Punjab): Janmashtami, the birthday of Shri Krishna was celebrated with great devotion, love, zeal and enthusiasm by Brahma Kumaris Mohali following all the norms set by the Government of India.
More than 400 people attended the program which included divine songs, Raasleela of Gopis with Shri Krishna etc.
Various episodes of Shri Krishna’s life were presented beautifully by BK children through cultural presentations like birth of Krishna, playing with Yashoda Maiyaa, dialogues of Radha & Krishna with Yashoda Maiyaa(mother), Maharaas with Radha & Gopis etc
BK Prem, Incharge, Rajayoga centres Mohali Circle, while speaking on this occasion said that we must try to understand the real spirit of every festival and celebrate it accordingly. Becoming one like Sri Krishna by imbibing divine virtues, and taking powers from the Supreme Soul, will be the real celebration of Janmashtami.
BK Rama Explained the spiritual significance of Janmashtami, that Shri Krishna was the first prince of the Golden Age, full of all virtues, completely pure and vice less, and we need to make effort to become like Krishna, which is possible only by having a connection with the Supreme Father. She further said that Shri Krishna’s life and character was a living example for all humanity. Values and virtues should be inculcated to lead an exemplary life like him.
