Vadodara ( Gujarat ) : Under the ‘Azadi ke Amrit Mahotsav se Swarnim Bharat ki Ore’ campaign, a Safe India Road Safety Motorcycle Yatra was organized by the Travel and Transport Wing and the Brahma Kumaris Alkapuri Vadodara Subzone, in which the SHE team, Traffic Police Vadodara Institute, also joined, for the departure of the rally. Police Inspector of the SHE team Boriala, well-known businessman Sunil, Rita Acharya from Municipality, story writer Jani Maharaj, and Vadodara Alkapuri Sub Zone Incharge BK Dr. Niranjana participated.
BK Niranjana lit the lamp along with the dignitaries, and flagged off the departure to various parts of Vadodara. The rally was welcomed in which more than 75 motorcycles, 4 four wheelers, 12 women police of the SHE team, and traffic police personnel were present in large numbers in the journey.
(Each police station in the jurisdiction of the Vadodara City Commissionerate have a “She Team” comprising a unit of women officers to attend to distress calls and complaints from women.)
