London ( UK ): The atmosphere was charged with the possibility and reality of Global Co-operation House being open to the BK family across London and UK to come together in a physical gathering once again after the relaxation of Covid 19 regulations.
Over the course of the 5 days, as well as the powerful gathering and yoga, many sweet reconnections between friends, old and new, happened. There was a heightened sense of value in the collective being together in tapasya for this time and deep appreciation expressed by so many for the opportunity!
The stage was beautifully decorated, with the theme of One Gold Heart beating in many ways – the theme for our Brahma Kumaris UK ‘50 Years On’ celebrations – symbolically shown with many flowers within it. And the ‘garden’ of God’s world exuding beauty and renewal from the stage.
BK Sudesh, European Director of Brahma Kumaris, and BK Jayanti, Additional Chief of Brahma Kumaris, held each session with such powerful yoga and royalty and throughout each ceremony shared divine drishti with each one before handing rakhi, toli, fruit and blessings. Nearly 2,000 BKs (1,937) were given rakhi, with more than 900 making the journey from many centres and places around the UK, as well as a few coming from abroad.
When we remind ourselves of God’s protection we become a self protector and family protectors.
Before each ceremony began, BK Sudesh and BK Jayanti alternated sharing words of spiritual wisdom and the significance of this highest of annual festivals. Just a taste of their sharings below: With powerful determination we can come out of all internally created bondages into the bond of liberation and liberation-in-life in relationship with God as our protector.
He gives to us the inheritance of a divine intellect and through this we attain liberation in life. On the basis of yoga power the mind and intellect both become cool, easy and powerful. Now is the time to complete our transformation as drama comes close and the Return Home is just ahead.
There were 8 sessions in total and each one lasted two hours. It began on Thursday 19th morning from 10 am to 12 pm and closed on Tuesday 24th evening from 6.30-8.30 pm. On Saturday, August 21st more than 600 came from many places.
There were also many who contributed their yoga power and presence online throughout each session and BK souls connected online from around the planet.
The day of Raksha Bandan itself was Sunday 22nd August and a huge full moon was seen brightly in the evening sky above GCH.
The power of silence and in that the emergence of Baba’s presence and company was powerful. Dadi Janki’s subtle presence felt close, as did Dadi Prakashmani’s. The close of this ceremony gave way to the silent celebration of Dadi Prakashmani. Special bhog was offered to her in the yoga-filled atmosphere of the auditorium on Thursday 25th morning.
The five days together felt deeply significant, especially through the rapidly changing scenes of these last and auspicious days of the World Drama. It was all beautifully organised and supported by the wonderful cooperation and collaboration of many departments at GCH, especially the kitchen and servery teams who worked tirelessly to provide such warm hospitality to everyone who came, and the stage, ushering, toli and technical teams who made it all happen seamlessly.
