Agra ( Uttar Pradesh ): The Brahma Kumaris of Shastripuram Centre in Agra celebrated the 74th Independence Day by planting trees and hoisting the National Flag. BK Shalu and BK Bharat sang the National Anthem. After that, a planting of saplings was also done on the campus in presence of Dr. Pinky, Mr. Varun Mishra, CA; Mr. Neeraj Chandra, Mr. Bharat and Mr. Johny.
BK Madhu mentioned that 15th August is a festive day of which we all feel very proud. It’s a Day of Great Enthusiasm and Spirit. On this day, we attained independence from the years of bondages of British rulers. Today children, youth, the elderly, everyone is filled with zeal and enthusiasm. They celebrate the Day as a Great Festival. Today we listen to songs of Devotion and the National Anthem and remember those Brave Noble Souls who shed their lives to bring us the Gift of liberation by undergoing all the atrocities of the Britishers.
Actually, real freedom is living with happiness, which everyone wants. As the bird in a cage cannot enjoy free life, so also Man today is not able to be happy in life because of bodily attachments and ignorance of his own true identity.
It is said that living with Self Restraint and Rules in life are the Art of Living and everyone wants to live as per the Rules. Mind has lost its Power due to negative thoughts. Coming out of a busy life, one must realize that negative thoughts are the causes of our sorrowful life. So we must think and understand truthfully before doing anything that our activities are always for the welfare of Mankind. For this we have to adopt a Spiritual way of Thinking.
To be strong we must acquire Spiritual Knowledge, Divine Power and Qualities. With our experience of Rajayog Meditation, we must make others lives full of joy and happiness. True freedom is to get rid of jealousy, hatred, corruption, misbehaviour, violence and all 5 vices. Our National Flag is tri-coloured. It gives us a great message. Red is the colour that pervades in the Soul World, Paramdham. It signifies Spiritual Knowledge and Sacrifice. White colour stands for Purity and Sanctity. Green indicates Peace, Fullness and Happiness. Standing under this Flag let us take an Oath that those Gallant Youth have sacrificed their lives but we shall eliminate all Vicious Thoughts in our Minds and transform the Indian Land into Heaven. Then only the celebration of Independence Day is Worthy.
Extending the function further BK Madhu, revealing the importance of Trees, said that Trees provide Oxygen which is very essential for the sustenance of our lives. One Tree, if saved, will save so many lives. So she encouraged all to commit that each individual will plant at least One Tree.

परंतु वास्तव में स्थाई स्वतंत्रता अर्थात खुशियो भरा जीवन,यही सभी की चाहत होती हैं। जैसे पिंजड़े का पंछी कभी खुशी का अनुभव नही कर सकता। ऐसे आज का मनुष्य देह के बंधन में दुखी होकर जी रहा है। कारण आत्मा रूपी पंछी की यथार्थ पहचान नहीं है।
तंत्र अर्थात नियम से तो सभी चलना चाहते हैं, कहते हैं संयम और नियम ही जीवन जीने की कला हैं। नकारात्मक सोच के कारण मन की शक्ति नष्ट हो गई हैं।जिसके लिए आध्यात्मिक सोच को जीवन में अपनाना चाहिए।
व्यस्त जीवन से त्रिकालदर्शी बन मनुष्य को सोचने की जरूरत है, नकारात्मक सोच ही दुःख का एकमात्र कारण है। इसलिए जो भी करना है सोच समझ कर करना है। सर्व के कल्याण अर्थ सत्यनिष्ठ होकर सोचना चाहिए।

कार्यक्रम को आगे बढ़ाते हुए बी के मधु बहन ने वृक्षारोपण के महत्व को बताते हुए कहा की पेड़ हमें ऑक्सीजन देते है और ऑक्सीजन हमारे जीवन के लिए अति आवश्यक है अगर एक पेड़ की रक्षा की जाये तो वह अनेक जिंदगी बचने का कार्य करेगा इसीलिए काम से कम एक पेड़ लगाने का संकल्प उन्होंने सबको करवाया।
