Gurugram ( Haryana ) : The Om Shanti Retreat Center (ORC) of the Brahma Kumaris in Gurugram (near Delhi) celebrated the festival of Krishna Janamashtami with attractive tableaus and lots of other festivities. Hundreds of devotees and people from the Brahma Kumaris family gathered to take part in these celebrations. Various scenes from the life of Shri Krishna were depicted and thoroughly enjoyed by the audience. The crowd of people visiting, to get a glimpse of the beautifully decorated venue, extended well into the night.
Inaugurating the celebrations, BK Asha, Director of the Om Shanti Retreat Center (ORC), said that the charm of Shri Krishna is still the same after thousands of years. The real celebration of Janamashtami will happen if we resolve to inculcate in our lives the same values as those represented by Shri Krishna. Only good values make a life worth living. As a tribute to Shri Krishna, we should practice compassion, forgiveness, brotherhood and selfless service to others.
BK Brij Mohan, Additional Secretary General of the Brahma Kumaris, while congratulating everyone on this occassion, asked people to pledge to be positive, humble and gentle with everyone.
Mr. S.K Verma, Police Officer from Tihar Jail in Delhi; Actress Gracy Singh; Legislator Mr. Sushil Kumar and Mr. Yajuvendra Sharma, Sarpanch of Bhora Kalan, were also present at this function.

मनमोहन की चैतन्य झाँकियों ने मोहा सबका मन
गुरूग्राम : ब्रह्माकुमारीज़ के ओम् शान्ति रिट्रीट सेन्टर में श्रीकृष्ण जन्माष्टमी की भव्य और आकर्षक झाँकियों का आयोजन हुआ। श्रीकृष्ण की बाल लीलाओं को देखने के लिए बहुत दूर-दूर से हजारों की संख्या में श्रद्धालु उमड़ पड़े। श्रीकृष्ण के चरित्रों की चैतन्य झाँकियों में सत्यभामा एवं रूकमणी, माखन चोर, श्रीकृष्ण एवं अर्जुन संवाद, श्रीकृष्ण एवं सुदामा का मिलन, गोबर्धन पर्वत, शेर की गुफा, पुष्पक विमान तथा अतीन्द्रिय सुख का झूला विशेष रही। शेर की गुफा के अन्दर बनाये गये शिव एवं श्रीकृष्ण के मंदिरों के दर्शन के लिए लोगों ने कतारों में प्रवेश किया। रात्रि ११ बजे तक भी लोग आते रहे। पूरा ही परिसर बिजली की जगमगाहट में बहुत ही आकर्षक एवं अलौकिक प्रतीत हो रहा था।
इससे पूर्व झाँकियों का उद्घाटन करते हुए ओआरसी की निदेशिका आशा दीदी ने बताया कि श्रीकृष्ण के जीवन चरित्रों की झाँकियों को देखकर आज हम इतना आनन्दित होते हैं। लेकिन जब स्वयं श्रीकृष्ण चैतन्य में रहे होंगे तो वो समय कितना महान और आनन्द देने वाला होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि श्रीकृष्ण जी की झाँकियों से आज हम ये प्रेरणा लें कि उनके जैसे गुणों को हम भी जीवन में अपनायेंगे। वास्तव में गुणों से ही जीवन महान बनता है। श्रीकृष्ण जन्माष्टमी को चरितार्थ करने के लिए हम सभी को दया, क्षमा, परोपकार एवं सद्भावना को जीवन में लाना होगा।
ब्रह्माकुमारीज़ के अतिरिक्त महासचिव बी.के.बृजमोहन ने भी अपनी शुभकामनाएं देते हुए कहा कि इस पावन अवसर पर हम ये प्रतिज्ञा करें कि सबके लिए शुभ सोचें एवं जीवन में मधुरता और नम्रता अपनाएं।
इस अवसर पर विशेष रूप से दिल्ली तिहाड़ जेल के पुलिस अधीक्षक एस.के.वर्मा, अभिनेत्री ग्रेसी सिंह, स्थानीय पार्षद सुशील कुमार एवं बहोड़ा कलां के सरपंच यजुवैन्द्र शर्मा ने भी सबको जन्माष्टमी की शुभकामनाएं दी।
