Miami, Florida ( USA ): The employee experience team of NBC Universal – Telemundo Center (Miami) invited the BK Meditation team to launch their new NBCU Zen lounge with lunchtime Workplace meditation.
The employee experience team manager – Elizabeth Vazquez and their specialist – Wendy Patterson-Guillen have very beautifully created a dedicated space for their employees to stop by and refresh in silence space any time of the day. They shared how a majority of NBC employees preferred to have a meditation space rather than a fitness room and thus this space was created and encouraged by their management.
Meredith and Meeta facilitated each of the two 30 minutes sessions which was attended by about 30 employees – mostly new to meditation practice. Meredith very beautifully introduced meditation as a new way to think and how each one present here is not here by accident and is very special.NBC looks forward to encouraging meditation as a tool to de-stress for its employees and in association with the BK meditation – speakers Bureau team to offer guided meditations every Friday in this new Zen lounge.
