“Gender Equality today for a sustainable tomorrow” : Women’s Day Program in Guwahati

Guwahati ( Assam ): International Women’s Day program was organised by Brahma Kumaris Guwahati on the theme :  “ GENDER EQUALITY TODAY FOR A SUSTAINABLE TOMORROW wherein a number of women from all walks of life participated and benefited .

Delivering the keynote address, Brahma Kumari Dr. Kaberi Kakati, Assistant Professor, Head and Neck Oncology Dept., Dr. B. Barooah Cancer Institute said that while most of us focus on the equality outside of us, in reality its the equality of soul that needs attention because body is just a costume and in the spiritual sense, we all are equal. The call of time now is that women become emotionally independent.

Dr. Asomi Gogoi, Retired Additional Director, Secondary Education, Govt. of Assam, Dr. Anjana Goswami, Director, Ashadeep, Dr. Minoti Baruah, Medical Suprintendent and Professor of Anaesthesiology, Dr. B.Barooah Cancer Institute also presented their views to the audience and were enthralled to take part in the program.

Later, Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Sheela, Sub-Zone Incharge, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Arunachal, Tripura and Bangladesh also graced the occasion and called upon the women in general to practice Rajayoga Meditation for self empowerment.

BK Ranjana Sarma played Violin and BK Maaya Adhikari presented a song in the program while BK Sudarshan played flute and recited a beautiful song on mother.  

BK Dr Kaberi Kakati – Assistant Professor – Head and Neck Oncology Department, Dr. B. Barooah Cancer Institute also addressed the gathering.
