Alirajpur (Madhya Pradesh): The Brahma Kumaris of Alirajpur Centre organized an Educational Conference at Rajput Samaj Bhawan, Maharana Pratap Road, in Alirajpur, on the “Formation of Noble Society by Value-Based Education,” in which a large number of Teachers from Jobat, Alirajpur, participated.
BK Narayan, Zonal Coordinator of the Brahma Kumaris Religious Wing from Indore, was the Chief Speaker on the occasion. Mr. Navin Srivastav, Block Educational Officer, was the Chief Guest. Other Special Guests were Mr. Arvind Gehlot, Retired Principal; Mr. Nasim Makrani, Retired Head Master; Mr. Avinash Baghela, Block Resource Coordinator, Alirajpur; and Mrs. Kirti Sharma, Head Mistress, Girls’ School, Alirajpur. BK Madhuri, Alirajpur Centre in Charge, was the President of the Conference.
After honoring all the Guests with flower bouquets and tilaks, Kumari Tanushri performed a dance to welcome all the Guests and Participants. The inaugural lamps were lit by the Guests in memory of God before starting the Conference.
Welcoming the audience with his best wishes, BK Narayan stated that the “Present Education of children is incapable of developing in them Moral Understanding, Self Awareness, Inner Powers and Values. Although it is providing knowledge and improving skills required for material life, some harmful deformities are also arising in society. Spiritual Value-Based Education is the Key to providing solutions to all problems in human life. It emerges intrinsic divine Qualities and Powers within the children through Self realisation as Soul. It helps their Personal Development, Character Building and enhances Human Values in them, by which a Noble Society can be established.”
Mrs. Kirti Sharma said, “Life is incomplete without having good Character. Progress of the country is impossible. Only citizens with a Moral Nature can wipe out Evil Practices from the Society.” She said that Spirituality re-awakens in man the experience of his True Identity and Divine Powers.
Mr. Avinash Baghela said, “From the nature and behavior of students, it appears that the present Education is not helpful for their all-round development. The object of true Education is to empower them mentally and spiritually, to enable them to survive in life.”
Mr. Navin Makrani said that the sources of a child’s education are Home, Surroundings, Society and Religion. Parents at home, friends in the market and colony as his surroundings, relatives in society, and religious priests, preachers, and preceptors are responsible. So at first they must change their own behaviors [as examples, as role models]. He said, “They cannot escape by saying that Teachers are responsible in this matter.”
Mr. Arvind Gehlot said that even after 72 years of Independence, the Primary Education of children is incomplete. They must be given more Moral Understanding along with Literary Education. He said, “Throughout the year, festivals are being celebrated. Children must be enlightened with the spiritual significance of the festivals and the Deities concerned.”
BK Madhuri in her narrative stated that Man, in pursuit of fulfilling his endless desires for material gains and physical enjoyment, has sacrificed all Human Values. It has caused increased corruption, violence toward women, and excess drug addiction in present Society that has left Mankind on the verge of great destruction. She said, “Education is meant for the growth but not for the extinction of Humanity. The main objective of Education itself is to establish a Value-Based Society. This is possible only through imparting Spiritual Knowledge.”
All the events of the Conference were beautifully managed by BK Arun Gehlot, and BK Lalu extended the Vote of Thanks to one and all for making this event successful.
