Educator’s Conference on “Values and Spirituality for Overcoming Challenges” in Puri

Puri ( Odisha ): The All-India Education wing’s annual meeting and Retreat was held at Godly Rajayoga Retreat Centre (GRC) in Puri. During the Retreat, an Educator’s Conference was held at the GRC campus on the theme “Values and Spirituality for Overcoming Challenges” which was inaugurated in the presence of renowned educationists and local educators as well as dignitaries of different streams of education.

Addressing the Conference as a keynote speaker, Rajayogini BK Suman, National Coordinator of the Education Wing, Rajayoga Education and Research Foundation, Mount Abu, emphasized learning to know, learning to do, learning to be good and learning to live together. She said that the people in the world mostly identify themselves on the basis of their profession — what they are doing — but we have to identify ourselves as a spirit, a light, a living being. She also said that spiritual education creates divine virtues among the people, which promotes being a good citizen.

As the Chief Speaker of the conference, Rajayogi Dr. BK Pandiamani, Director of Value Education and Spirtuality, Brahma Kumaris, Mt Abu, said that in the present education system there is no wisdom, and the quality of education is degrading day by day. He also said that through value education and spirituality, the education system will be more qualitative and effective. It must be taken as a compulsory subject in educational curriculum for the upliftment of the society because spirituality helps us to live in the present with discipline and manners.

Addressing the Conference as an Honoured Guest Prof. Dr. Madhumita Das, Vice Chancellor, Fakir Mohan University, Balasore, said that bookish knowledge is not enough for a teacher, there must be an inner passion for teaching. She also said that if the standard of education goes down, then the society will automatically collapse. So to uplift the society, value education must be included in our educational system.

As an Honoured Guest of the Conference Prof. Dr. B.C. Guru, Advisor, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, in his words of wisdom stated that the role of PPBKIVV for the upliftment of society through selfless service is praiseworthy. He also said that we should  approach the Government to make a Rajyoga Meditation room in every educational institution to increase concentration power among the students.

BK Mukesh, Associate Professor, JCERC Engineering College, Jaipur, presented his Thought Lab technique on Rajyoga Meditation and shared his experience about a “Rajyoga Thought Laboratory” initiated by him where more than 200 students received benefit and made 25 different techno- spiritual machines of Soul, Supreme Soul, Mind Charger, etc., with the help of students.

Addressing the Conference as an Honoured Guest Professor Harihara Hota, Vice Chancellor, Shri Jagannath Sanskrit University, Puri, expressed that proper education helps the students to be humble, free themselves from all the negativities, and feel the whole world as a family.

In her deliberations Dr. BK Nirupama, Director, Godly Rajyoga Retreat Centre (GRC) and Brahma Kumaris Sub Zone, Puri, greeted all the participants and said that only value-based education can build the character and make one a good citizen. She also said that nowadays spirituality is the missing link in education. Syllabi knowledge is not enough, besides we must have the knowledge of the Inner Self, and the Creator of the whole world as well as the Supreme teacher who is giving the knowledge of the world drama. Then the values will come within us, and we can easily overcome challenges coming  in our life.

Dr. BK Seema, Associate Professor, College of Education, Ludhiana, conducted the inner journey through Rajayoga Meditation to experience peace.

S.M. Das, District Project Coordinator, Sarva Shikshya Aviyan, Puri, extended her thanks to all the dignitaries and the life members of the Education Wing, the Media, and to Senior Rajayogi BK Dr. Satyananda, who coordinated the Conference successfully.
