“Don’t Get Mad, Get Wise” : Public Talks in Australia

Australia : BK Peter Clark from Brisbane visited the BK Class location in Lurnea (Liverpool area) coordinated by BK Sashi Bala. A small group enjoyed a talk on ‘Making yoga interesting and having a balance in BK life’.

At Five Dock (Sydney), 30 BKs attended a workshop on ‘Finishing Your Accounts’, which included looking at different feelings and how to finish them, and small groups with lively discussions. The session concluded with a powerful 30-minute meditation with a commentary spoken by Peter.

On Sunday evening a Diwali program held in West Ryde drew about 40 BKs and 12 members of the public. BK Keethan was the MC. The program opened with a welcome dance by the twins (children) followed by BK Shruthi and BK Cedric’s Hindi song. BK Pranita did a presentation about the spiritual significance of the Deepavali festival. Then BK Uma sang a Tamil song which was followed by Br. Peter’s talk and commentary. Everyone played their part very well.

Peter visited Wilton to give a talk in Toongabbie on the topic ‘Believe in Yourself’.

BKs at Lidcombe attended a talk by Peter on ‘Self Progress; why we should pay so much attention to our own self progress now’.

In the evening at Hurstville Library, eight people including two who were new enjoyed a talk on ‘Don’t Get Mad, Get Wise’.

On Wednesday October 16, Peter went to Leura and in the evening gave a talk for 16 souls in the Community Meditation session on ‘Don’t Get Mad, Get Wise’.

In Leura, Peter gave a talk on ‘Mind Over Matter; Deepen your meditation experience and use that awareness to meet life’s challenges confidently.’

In Five Dock (Sydney), a day program on the topic ‘Believe in Yourself’ was organized in which about 25 people attended.
