“Decoding Secrets of Yoga” Event by Brahma Kumaris Mumbai

Mumbai – Borivali East ( Maharashtra ): To celebrate the International Day of Yoga, a public event was organized by the Brahma Kumaris of Borivali in association with India Tourism, Mumbai, on the topic “Decoding Secrets of Yoga”  at Prabhu Upvan, Brahma Kumaris, Borivali (East), in Mumbai.
Dignitaries present on the dais for a talk show were Shammi Gupta, Founder of Shammi’s Yogalay; Ravi Sheshadri, Director of Bharat Thakur Artistic Yoga;  Denish Makwana, Isha Hatha Yoga Teacher;  BK Divyaprabha, Subzone Incharge, Borivali, and BK Shreya, Rajayoga Teacher.
Other Honoured Guests present at the event were Vinod Shukla, President, Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay Smriti Manch; Bhavana Shinde, Assistant Director, India Tourism, Mumbai, and Ashok Mohanani, Chairman, Ekta World.
The event began with a 15-minute physical exercise led by Bindu Panchal, a Marathon Trainer, after which guests were invited onto the stage for a Candle Lighting.
The Candle Lighting was followed by an interesting Talk Show anchored by Sister BK Shreya, Rajyoga Teacher. Panelists in the talk show were from different applications of yoga such as Hatha Yoga and Artistic yoga.
Engaging questions emerged, asking for more clarity on the particular form of yoga, and requesting deeper insights about meditation, such as: What is the difference between concentration and awareness?  Why is the word detachment synonymous to being a yogi?  How to keep a balance of attachment and detachment?  Such questions were asked to the panelists, and very satisfactory answers were received from them all.
The event concluded with an effective guided meditation by BK Sangeeta, Senior Rajayoga Teacher.
