De-addiction Awareness Program by Brahma Kumaris Hathras

Hathras ( Uttar Pradesh): The Brahma Kumaris service center in Hathras organized a program called “My Bharat, Intoxicant-Free Bharat” at Saraswati Mahavidyalaya. The program was held to generate awareness on de-addiction. It was organized specially for the National Cadet Corps.

BK Shanta, In-charge of the Anandpuri center of the Brahma Kumaris in Hathras, said that NCC Cadets have a special responsibility towards the well being of the society. They are specially trained to maintain discipline. If they start following spiritual principles, it will be easier to disseminate and demonstrate the virtue and capacity of discipline to others in the society.

The NCC Cadets also took out a rally to bring about public awareness on de-addiction and substance abuse. It started from Saraswati Mahavidyalaya, went through Aligarh Marg, and ended at the college.

BK Dinesh shared information on cancer through tobacco use by a video film and exhibition.

Mr. Rakesh Aggarwal, former Manager of Punjab National Bank (PNB), also motivated the cadets through his speech.

Lieutenant Swakendra Singh expressed gratitude towards the Brahma Kumaris Organization for such initiatives, and led and encouraged everyone in making a pledge to stay away from substance abuse.
