Abu Road ( Rajasthan ): The Social Activities Group of the Brahma Kumaris launched a Plantation Drive at their Headquarters for 40,000 trees to save the environment. BK Bharat, Head of the Brahma Kumaris Social Activities Group; BK Karuna, Multimedia Chief of the Brahma Kumaris; along with BK Lallan, BK Arjun and many others participated in the Plantation Program.
Speaking on this occasion, BK Nirwair, General Secretary of the Brahma Kumaris, said that a shortage of rain for the past few years has left the Earth dry which has caused alarm, affecting the cultivation and normal life of people. He said, “There are only two ways to save the situation. 1) Increasing Plantation to grow more trees. 2) Storing more water through Harvesting rain water”. He said, “To save the Earth we must first of all increase Plantation to grow more trees in the future. Everyone must plant at least one sapling and see that it survives to become a tree in due course.”
He further said that this year the Brahma Kumaris are going to have thousands of saplings planted in and around Abu Road to make it fully green with trees. For this, big saplings will be procured from Saharanpur, to enable them to grow into big trees faster.
The Brahma Kumaris Social Activities Group members are making effort to enlighten people in this matter by bringing awareness in people about Conservation of the Environment and the need to save water.

हजारों पेड़ लगाने की योजना, सहारनपुर से मंगाये जा रहे पौधे
आबूरोड। इस वर्ष कम बारिश और सूखा ने लोागों को सकते में ला दिया था। इससे बचने का दो ही उपाय है। पहला ज्यादा से ज्यादा पेड़ लगाये जायें और दूसरा बारिश के पानी को ज्यादा से ज्यादा हारवेस्टिंग सिस्टम से रोका जाये। उक्त विचार ब्रह्माकुमारीज संस्था के महासचिव बीके निर्वेर ने कहे। वे ब्रह्माकुमारीज संस्था के तपोवन में पौध रोपण के पश्चात पेड़ लगाने वालों से संकल्प करा रहे थे।
उन्होंने कहा कि पिछले कई वर्षों से लगातार घटती बारिश और तेजी से सूखे की चपेट में आ रही धरती को बचाने के लिए ज्यादा से ज्यादा पेड़ लगाये जायें। हर व्यक्ति एक पेड़ लगाकर उसकी सार संभाल करें। ताकि वह कुछ वर्षो में पेड़ में तब्दील हो जाये। इससे इस विपदा से बचा जा सकता है। ब्रह्माकुमारीज संस्थान इस वर्ष आबू रोड तथा आस पास के क्षेत्रों में हजारों पेड़ लगायेगी ताकि इस क्षेत्र को हरा भरा किया जा सके।
सहारनपुर से मंगाये जा रहे बड़े पौधे: इसके लिए सहारनपुर से बड़े पौधे मंगाये जा रहे है ताकि वह जल्दी पकड़ ले और उसके सूखने की आशंका कम हो जाये। प्रतिदिन पानी देने तथा इसकी सार संभाल करने से जल्दी ही वह पेड़ की शक्ल ले लेगा।
ये मंगाये जा रहे पेड़: जो कम से कम पानी खींचे और बारिश में सहायक हो जैसे पीपल, बड़, आम, शीशम, जामुन आदि पेड़ों को मंगाया जा रहा है।
ये रहे उपस्थित: इस अवसर पर सोशल एक्टिविटी ग्रुप के अध्यक्ष बीके भरत, बीके लल्लन, बीके अर्जुन समेत कई लोग उपस्थित थे।
