Childrens Program on “Draw a World of Happiness” in Latvia

Riga, Latvia ( Europe ): A children’s program was held by Brahma Kumaris in Riga “Draw a world of happiness.” Holidays remind us of the world happiness and prosperity, and the biggest experts in the knowledge of what happiness is, of course, are children. Therefore, the idea appears to invite them to paint a world of happiness, the way they represent it, how they feel.

13 children aged 5 to 14 years were involved in the program.  Each participant told about his drawing. One girl drew her daily routine, how she sleeps, walks, eats, studies, drew her family. She wants harmony in the world of happiness in human life. And the boy, about eleven, wanted to take the winter into the world of happiness. The whole earth is covered with a white blanket; cleanliness is around, in winter.  It is beautiful.

Everyone agreed that in the world of happiness it is very beautiful and sweet, and there are no shortcomings. But the question arose: how to get into the world of happiness? They will not be allowed to go there without a pass. And everyone agreed that the pass – these are our positive qualities.

Each participant made a crown on which the qualities necessary for defeating the shortcomings were written. When the crowns were ready, everyone stood in a circle and, passing each other a rose, called the qualities of the one standing nearby, and told how these qualities are manifested in life. In other words, what qualities are needed to listen to adults, what qualities are needed to do homework on time, etc. It was interesting and fun.

The holiday ended with a dance to cheerful music.  All participants promised themselves that they would use their positive qualities; also, they expressed a desire to come back to similar programs.
